Arabian Nights

No one on earth can hurt you, unless you accept the hurt in your own mind. The problem is not other people; it is your reaction. — Vernon Howard

It's been a while, but thought I may as well post since my school formal was yesterday! The lead up to this event was huge, pretty sure a lot of us dreamt of this day ever since year eight.

Other than the fact rain poured down all day making my hair frizzy and dress wet, my day went smoothly. Got my hair done at 1pm then make up at 3pm. Bumped into quite a few others at Napolean Perdis as some had appointments before, during and after mine. Steph, did my makeup. She was absolutely lovely and did an amazing job! Redeemed a finishing powder and a pair of false lashes.

Phee held the pre at her house and her and parents did a brilliant job at hosting and organizing it. They got in caterers, food and drinks. Everyone looked stunning with their dates, I took Chenny and poor him and Nick had an away game at Toowoomba and got back at around 4.30pm and had to get ready (THANK YOU CHENNY FOR COMING WITH ME TO THE FORMAL) ..

Meg and Angus/Chenny (I introduced him as Angus to half the people and Chenny to half)

This was the first time I had curly hair........

Phee and Katie!

Sarah and Lily along with EJ were our photographers for the pre (:

They said gangstaaa shot ..

Our formal was held at the Convention Centre and parents and teachers were invited to the pre-drinks before hand to come and admire all of us haaha. There were so many people and everyone mingled and received well deserved compliments. So many gorgeous people everywhere. The theme this year was 'Arabian Nights'

Ailsa, my lovely ITS buddy!

DUNG! One of my favourite girlssss :)

Such an awkward stage of the night because this was when we had to walk into the hall place and principal was waiting at the door so we had to introduce our partners to her while all the parents were out there watching...

Photos of our meals (credits to Yen), food meals were alternating so every second person got either the one or the other:

Chicken (I got this one)

Steak

Dessert: Oreo Cheesecake (I got this one)
Fruit Pavlova

Went to the actual hall at around 7 and the rest of the night consisted of dinner, photographs/photo booth, dessert, dancing and socializing. It ended at 11pm where we all departed out separate ways (in groups) and later regrouped at Paris/Alice's post which in my recollection was fun (maybe, idk lol).

I don't know about everyone else but I had an amazing time and can't believe it's already over :(

Wintergarden

Life without you would be like a broken pencil ...pointless.
Teehee,

I promised myself that today was the last day I'm going to go out since term two is right around the corner. Someone asked me to an OOTD, so I did one today but today's was not very exciting (Lulu/Claire wouldn't leave me alone).

Spent my last day wisely and met up with Courtney at 11:30am (ish) then quickly went to see Sarah so I could swap my lens because of a mix up. Ahhh Cute Courtney gave me a belated birthday present (exactly one month since). Yes, we both realized the lack of photos we had with each other, but hey, with Taecyeon there, who can complain ;)

Throughout the entire day, I kept bumping into people, it was ridiculous, so many people were in the city.

We ate so much throughout the day, I'm still full as we speak. For lunch, Courtney and I went to MOS Burger and I decided to try something different so I ordered the Fish Burger which tasted pretty good, it tasted like the one at McDonalds actually.

Today's main purpose was to go shopping for earrings and shoes but ended up with much more than that. Couldn't help myself, sales were all over the place.

One thing which annoyed me was that we were in a boutique in Elizabeth Arcade and I ended up buying this top right, then after, we went to a different shop down Queen Street, saw the exact top except $10 cheaper!!!!!

Anyway, we decided to have a mini adventure in Wintergarden and take a few photos. Felt like tourists but who really cares? After an interesting dinner dilemma, we ended up having lunch at Jackpot Noodle!

 Courtney being uncooperative ):

My dish - Beef Strips with Rice Noodles

Courtney's dish - Seafood on Crispy Egg Noodle

Well, I will now leave you with a few photos of Wintergarden! I don't want to spam this post with too many photos >.<

Current Likings and Lovings

Excuse me, I think you have something in your eye. Nope, it's just a sparkle.

I wish everyone a happy Easter but have you ever wondered why we eat chocolate eggs and bunnies during this holiday? Well some YahooAnswer user commented with this (voted best answer):

"The eggs bit refers to new life and yes is Christian. What happened at Easter is what enables us to have a new life in Christ. Also rolling eggs is to do with rolling the stone on His tomb away. The chocolate bit is something like commercialism or a way of focusing less on the christian bit or something as it is certainly a recent thing historically."

Just an interesting fact for you all ^_^

Remember my new baby and how I said Lulu's neverending affection, well here's her grabbing her face and pinching her nose.

... And here's she's forcing her to eat a strawberry like 'why won't you eat it?' D;

Ahhhh adorable :')

Well I thought I'll share some (not so) interesting things about me and what I'm really loving at the moment.

This Strawberry Body Butter from The Body Shop is wonderful. It smells so nice and moisturises really well. Chantal bought this for me for Christmas and I've almost finished it all.

tThese Japanese Mochi's are under my newly found things that I'm liking. Bought these the other day and they remind me of the glutinous rice balls (远销)except bigger and yummier. So far, I've only tried the black sesame flavour but I really want to try the green tea one.

GGood things come in threes, so as my third, online shopping and browsing is almost becoming a daily routine for me during these holidays. Even if I'm not planning on buying anything, I still like browsing ... lol. At least I've bought a few items from some stores here and there, need to stop spending so much money :'(

My favourite stores would be either Nasty Gal or ASOS although I find Gmarket pretty good too but haven't bought anything from there before,

As for songs, my top three at the moment are:

Starships - Nicki Minaj
Boats and Birds - Gregory and the Hawk
Fantastic Baby - Big Bang

Oh and in regards to people, Taecyeon is up there but you can't forget Josh Hutcherson :3

I’m someone who can fall in love at the drop of the hat. My parents raised me to be very accepting of other people, so because of that, I feel like I might be overly accepting of girls. If a girl shows any interest, I’m like, “Yes! I love you, you’re amazing!"

Piece by Peace

It’s better to have nobody, than to have someone who is half there, or doesn’t want to be there. — Angelina Jolie
I truly hope all your holidays are going well, that you're all getting enough sleep, food and fun.

Firstly, here's two polaroids Diem and I took on our day out I forgot to add in my last post. I have no idea what that random light thing is in the photo on the left :/

After my days of revival, I was finally able to go to Dreamworld yesterday and use my Yearly Pass that I bought during the Christmas holidays. Along with Yentl, we caught the Gold Coast train from Central Station and met up with Zoe on the train then got off at Coomera which was about 45 minutes away. Met up with Emily at Dreamworld and a magnificent day! We went on pretty much all the rides (except the kiddy ones) and surprisingly, the lines for each weren't very long. Can I just add that some of the clothing some people wear really makes you think, 'why?'. All these little girls wore midriffs and shorts that were almost denim underwear and then on the other hand, you have some people who wear long maxi skirts and heels... I would find it so inconvenient going on rides wearing a maxi skirt and heels, but maybe that's just me.

Another exciting thing happened yesterday morning at precisely 1:01am! My new baby half-sister was born! Didn't get to visit her until this morning and it was so cute because Lulu/Claire wouldn't stop touching her face and giving her food even though the baby was asleep.

When my grandma allowed Lulu to half carry the baby, she was so happy and started kissing her and touching her face, aaaah so cute~

She was attacking the baby with kisses and when we were leaving the hospital, she started crying because we couldn't take the baby back home with us :')

Conveniently, my dad was able to drop me off at the city on the way home to meet up with the lovely Addie! Shopped around and browsed through the newly opened Wintergarden for the first time. I love what they did with the place and it was worth the two/three year renovation. The centre looks so modern and I'm looking forward to the day when all the levels are unveiled. Had Hanaichi for lunch at Wintergarden and never knew they served Takoyaki at Hanaichi so we decided to order some since neither of us had tried them before.

While shopping in Elizabeth, one of the shop assistants (or their friend) brought in their puppy. It was honestly the cutest and smallest puppy I've ever seen and apparently it won't grow too much bigger since it's a Chihuahua. Addie and I just wanted to grab the pup and run. It even had a small metal bone tag with it's name (Maxi) on it :3

...And to top my day, I received a letter from RACQ today with a Winter edition voucher booklet which is really handy since I'm so broke already ):

ALSO, If anyone knows anything about Big Bang's Alive 2012 tour, do you know if they are coming to Australia? D;

PEACE.

Catch Up

I am very indecisive and I always have a hard time picking my favourite things, but I know for sure that you are my favourite.
Sleep is definitely on my top five on my 'most loved' lists. I don't think I've slept so much in a long time.

  • Slept around 11pm yesterday night
  • Woke up at 10am
  • Read Wuthering Heights for a while then dozed off at around 1pm
  • Slept until 4.30pm
Oh how I've missed you holidays, just going to let the lethargic side consume me.

---

On Thursday (same day as inter-house cross country), we had the Bi-Grammar Quiz. Bi-Grammar is a competition type of thing between year twelves in Girls Grammar and Boys Grammar where this year, we compete in a quiz, netball, touch and dodgeball (maybe) and something else. Our year level got really into it and made all these posters and marched off to Boys Grammar in a huge group during lunch to compete in round one.

Banner we made in 20 minutes that morning!

Almost every time we tried cheering or do our war-cry, the guys would start doing theirs and because their voices are low and barbaric sounding, it always drowned out ours. In the end, after rounds of questions including the genres or Sport, Music, Film, Geography and General Knowledge, BGS won by two points but it was obvious they rigged it... The boys did this skit thing where you had to guess a scene or something from Harry Potter and it was almost impossible to guess what it was but some how the guys seemed to be able to guess it, coincidence? I think not...

Emily posted the original photo in our BGGS Senior page and we all had a good lol at the the guy's sweat patches, it was an intense match haahaha

On Saturday, we had a group dinner to celebrate end of term but the night did not end up as we all planned which was pretty disappointing due to an unexpected turn of events but nevertheless. While we were waiting for others to arrive at some seats nearby, a group of men came over to us all dressed in ridiculous outfits for their bucks night and asks to take photos with us and stuff. They were randomly asked if anyone could hula-hoop and I somehow ended up being the one that had to hula-hoop with this small hoop one of the guys randomly whipped out.

... And yesterday, I planned to have my sleeping day but thought hanging out with Diem would've been more fun :D

We looked around at Suitcase Rummage for the first half of the day. We saw this boy who was selling his toys, books and board games it was too cute not to take a photo of him.

After strategically weaving through Suitcase Rummage, we headed to Southbank to watch The Hunger Games. The 3.05pm session was full so we had to wait until the 6.10pm session. Browsed through the Youth Designer Markets and Southbank Markets before walking back to the city for sushi and food.

$1.80 well spent on 248kcal worth of ice-cream at some Korean grocery store.

There many seedy guys/old men at the city akdjldjalsdj. This old man working at sweet store at Southbank was full hitting on Diem saying how attractive she was lolllolololoollol, pretty sure he was over 60 years old. We also could've scored a free BBQ after this guitarist guy from England came up to us and started talking to us asking where were we from and stuff, offering us to go to this BBQ he and his friend were going to have. Ended up giving him a fake phone number and subtly running away.

Arrived at the cinemas at 5.30pm and there was already a line but the wait was worth it because we scored the best seats in the cinema (middle middle)! Hunger Games was an incredible movie and there were scenes that were super intense and scenes that made you want to ball your eyes out like we both did. Even these two really annoying guys behind us who were commentating the first half were crying. Can I just say that I think Peeta is so good looking and Katniss is absolutely gorgeous!

Before I finish I suggest you should all watch this:
