S Y D N E Y by us.

I've recently been getting questions from people asking me why I'm in Sydney so often so I've decided to post about what I've been getting up to during my short weekend trips down here. 

Two weeks ago, Passiontree Velvet launched its first store at Macquarie Centre in Sydney. Chris and I have mentioned on a few occasions that I should host a high tea just to get the word out ya know. Before I knew it, I was looking up potential intivitees (it was actually such a tough process because there were so many people that I wanted to invite!!) and sending out emails, waiting to receive their responses. 

On the day of the event, I pretty much sat with everyone as they enjoyed their food and chatted about anything and everything (but now that I think of it, a lot of topics diverted back to food haha). Honestly, it was such a fun an rewarding experience and I had the pleasure to meet so many amazing people! I'm definitely looking forward to hosting more events in the future ;)

Aside from the working aspect, I met up with a friends and it was a great time just catching up since I hadn't seen them in a while. I travelled out to Redfern to try out Three Williams since I'd heard some pretty good things about the place. Unfortunately, I underestimated how far it actually was but fortunately I didn't have to wait for a table since Kevin had already done so (THANKS KEVIN HAHAHA I'M SO SORRY T_T)

And ofc, what's a trip to Sydney without visiting Jiwon?!

K I N by us. / Miso Yummy - Miso salmon, onsen eggs, sesame spinach & sourdough / Sub-Marine - Soft-shell crab, chilli & brioche / No Lah - Clustered muesli, yogurt, honey, seasonal fruit / The BFF Bun - Bacon, crispy egg, chilli mayo & brioche / Kaya - Homemade coconut jam & toast 

While we were eating at KIN by us, Jiwon turned to me and asked me if the baby opposite us looked familiar. Once we confirmed he looked familiar, it turned out that Janice from Jayesslee was in fact, sitting right across from us!

The Missing Piece / Sea - Marinated wood-smoked salmon tossed with kale, quinoa, chia seeds, almonds, olive oil, garlic & lemon topped with a poached egg / Hashtag Sliders - Three sliders filled w/ slow cooked lamb, jalapeƱo mayonnaise & rocket, served w/ four polenta blocks 

I definitely enjoyed Sydney, but it's time to go back home and hit the books. I received my final exam timetables a few days ago and I'll be done with exams by the end of June!
